Gymnastics' Donabedian and Schugman Selected to the 2023 NCAA Gymnastics Pitt Regional

PHILADELPHIAÂ - The Temple women's gymnastics team will be represented at the 2023 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals on March 30-April 1, in Pittsburgh, Pa. by juniors Brooke Donabedian and Renee Schugman.
Donabedian earned a second straight NCAA Regionals selection on the floor as she had the third-best NQS in the EAGL, the sixth-best in the northeast region, and is No. 42 nationally at a 9.915.  The Maple Valley, Wash. earned six scores in the 9.9 range and tallied five floor event wins this season, including the March 5 Senior day when she tied her own school record with a 9.950, a record she tied at home last season on Senior Day. Â
Schugman will also compete in the floor exercise, her first-ever trip to NCAA Regionals. In 2023, The Smithtown, N.Y. native earned the seventh-best NQS (9.900) in the EAGL and northeast region, along with being in the top 75 of the country. The junior earned a pair of event wins this season, including a career-high at 9.925 at home on Feb. 19.  Schugman tallied five scores in the 9.9 range this past season, including a string of three meets where she averaged 9.908.
