No. 11 Fencing to Send 12 to NCAA Regionals

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 11 Temple fencing team will once again be well represented at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional on Saturday, March 11, with the maximum 12 fencers set to compete for the Owls.
For the foil squad, freshman Renee Oymann, sophomores Anna Novoseltseva and Constança Dimas, and junior Elizabeth Novoseltseva will compete.
The sabre squad will see sophomore Eva Ventura, junior Alexandra Weinberg, and seniors Zoe Turner and Emma Pincus compete.
Representing the epee squad will be junior Sara Proctor and seniors Naomi Ross, Margherita Calderaro, and Sarah Park.
The NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional is being hosted by Lafayette on March 11. Kirby Sports Center will open to the public at 8 a.m. with competition beginning at 9 a.m. and estimated completion at 5:30 p.m. Foil and epee will start at 9 a.m. with quarterfinals at 10:30, a break at 12 p.m., semifinals at 1 p.m. and finals at 3 p.m. Sabre starts at 10 a.m. with a break at 12 p.m., quarterfinals at 1 p.m., semifinals at 2 p.m. and finals at 3:30 p.m.
The Owls are coming off their 27th straight NIWFA title this past weekend, where they swept all three squad weapons titles and earned two individual weapons titles. Temple completed its dual meet season with a record of 30-17.
