Men’s Tennis Set to Face No. 50 Princeton on Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's tennis (17-3) will head to No. 50 Princeton (12-12) to play a match against the nationally ranked Tigers on Tuesday, April 11, at 4:00 p.m. It will be held at the Jadwin Gymnasium.

THE OWLS:
- Temple is coming off its 17th victory of the spring defeating NJIT by a final score of 7-0 on Friday, April 7 at the TU Pavilion. It was a clean sweep through singles play against an NJIT team who came to Temple with 13 wins on the spring season.
- Against NJIT, Gregoire Barety picked up his tenth singles victory of the spring. He is now 10-4 this spring with a 7-1 record in the fourth position. He and doubles partner Marin Delmas are also 11-4 having played 10 matches in the first position and five in the second.
- No. 81 Thibault Frumholz and Leo Raquin earned their 15th doubles victory of the spring last week. They remain a perfect 9-0 from the top spot of the double's lineup.
- The Owls have just two more matches of the spring, hosting Georgetown this coming Friday, April 14 for senior day at the TU Pavilion before heading south to Florida to face Wichita St. before the AAC tournament on April 18, 2023.
- Princeton is currently on a three-game losing streak after most recently dropping a match to Ivy League foe Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. on Sunday, April 9 by a final score of 2-5.
- Fnu Nidunjianzan and Ellis Short lead Princeton in singles play with 15 wins apiece throughout the spring season. Nidunjianzan has earned all his wins from the first position helping Princeton pick up 12 wins this spring. Sebastian Sec follows with 14 wins of his own with 13 of them coming from either the third or fourth position.
- Tuesday will mark the fourth all-time meeting of Princeton and Temple's men's tennis teams. Princeton currently has three games to none advantage over the Owls with the most recent match being played on March 5, 2023.
- After hosting the Owls, Princeton will head north to Providence, R.I., to play Brown at the Varsity Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m.
