Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 1 SMU in AAC Tournament

ORLANDO, FL – No. 9 Temple women's tennis (17-5) fell to No. 1 SMU (14-8) on Thursday afternoon, April 20, in the quarter final round of the AAC Tournament in Orlando, FL. The final score was 4-0.

NOTES:
- SMU came out and quickly secured the doubles point thanks to their duos in the second and third positions. Maiko Uchijima and Jamie Wei went unfinished in the first position while leading 5-1.
- The Mustangs claimed points in the third, fourth, and first positions in singles play thanks to Drew Morris, Jackie Nylander, and No. 80 Hadley Doyle to claim the winning point.
- Maiko Uchijima claimed the first set over Maja Makoric in the sixth position but the match was called before the point could be won.
