Ethan Whitney Finishes Day Two Tied for 3rd at AAC Championship

BELLEAIR, Fla. – The Temple Men's Golf team is in Belleair, Florida for the American Athletic Conference Championship this weekend (April 21-23). The nine-team event is being held at the Pelican Golf Club, which is a par-70, 6,881-yard course. The tournament consists of 54 holes over a three-day period.
Recapping the Round
> Sophomore Ethan Whitney continued his success from Friday with an even-par 70 on Saturday. Whitney currently sits at four-under and is in a tie for 3rd place. Whitney leads the Owls with 10 birdies.
> Senior Conor McGrath improved his standing on Saturday posting a second round score of two-under 68. McGrath currently sits at one-under and is in a tie for 8th place.
> Junior Graham Chase posted a second round of five-over 75. Chase currently sits at nine-over and is in a tie for 38th place.
> Junior Andrew Curran posted a second round of five-over 75. Curran currently sits at 18-over and is in 41st place.
> Sophomore Joey Morganti replaced Danny Nguyen for the second round. Morganti posted a score of two-over 72.
