Men's Crew Varsity Eight Ranked No. 16 in IRCA Coaches Poll

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's crew Varsity Eight boat has been ranked #16 nationally in the first week of the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association Poll released on Apr. 5. The Owls are joined with other Philadelphia-area schools in the rankings with #14 Penn, #15 Drexel and #24 La Salle.

This week's rankings comes after the Varsity Eight boat went 2-1 at the Stanford Invite with victories over #18 Oregon State and Santa Clara. Temple defeated Santa Clara with a time of 6:00.6 and Oregon State with a time of 5:50.7. The lone loss came to #13 Stanford.

The next test for the Owls will be Saturday when Temple hosts the 40th annual Murphy Cup.
