PHILADELPHIA – Jordan Riley, a 6-4, 200-pound sophomore guard who played the last two seasons at Georgetown, has signed a men's basketball aid agreement to attend Temple University.  Riley, who will have three seasons of eligibility remaining, becomes the third signee by new head coach Adam Fisher, joining Quante Berry, a 6-4 a 6-4, 175-pound freshman guard who redshirted last season at Providence, and Matteo Picarelli, a 6-2, 185-pound guard, who played the last three seasons at UMBC.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Jordan Riley to the Temple Family," said Fisher.  "Jordan is a dynamic guard who can play on and off the ball. His ability to get downhill and put pressure on the rim will be a huge asset to our program.  A former Mr. Basketball in New York State, Jordan will bring a winning pedigree and a big-time competitive spirit to our program. We are excited to welcome him and his family to Temple!"

"Coach Fisher and his staff displayed a lot of energy in the recruiting process and on my visit to Temple, and that energy is contagious," said Riley.  "Coach Fisher and his staff's track record in skill development also stuck out to me.  I know he is going to bring Temple basketball back to the NCAA Tournament and I want to be a part of that. Coach Fisher made me feel part of the Temple Family from Day One and I look forward to being a part of the winning tradition of Temple Basketball."

A native of Brentwood, N.Y., Riley played in 25 games, making nine starts for the Hoyas last season.  He averaged 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds, scoring in double figures four times with a high of 18 points (8-12 FG) and six rebounds at Villanova.   As a freshman in 2021-22, he averaged 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 12.8 minutes over nine games before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury.

A prep standout at Brentwood High, the First Team all-State honoree was named Mr. New York Basketball and Newsday Player of the Year as a senior. A two-time all-conference honoree, he averaged 23 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per game while leading his team to the Suffolk Class AA championship as a junior in 2019-20.   In a pandemic-shortened season (2020-21), he averaged 31.7 points, 6.5 assists, 5.5 steals and 3.8 blocks per game in helping Brentwood to a 6-1 record.
