Alex Champagne is a 5-10 midfielder from Pembroke, Florida in the Miami area. Champagne was a two year captain and three time district champion at Pembroke Pines Charter High School, as well as being voted First-Team All Miami Dade County by multiple publications. He suited up for Miramar United Elite FC (now known as Supreme FC) where he led the squad to three National Playoff appearances. Champagne led the squad to the round of 16 in his senior season, and a Florida Cup victory in 2021. He plans to major in exercise science at Temple.
Alex is a very well rounded midfielder that will be able to play in all midfield spots. He is a very strong passer with good vision and range and has the technical ability to get out of pressure and find open teammates. Defensively he reads the game well and puts himself in good position to intercept or tackle.
Elias Betancourt is staying in the 215!

Elias Betancourt is a Pennsylvania native from nearby Bala Cynwyd. A 5-9 midfielder, Betancourt accumulated a 7-1-1 record in his senior season at Lower Merion High School. On the club side, he played a key role for FC Delco in MLS Next. Betancourt led the FC Delco 05's to an undefeated regular season and the U16 MLS Next Cup. The team advanced to the semifinals where they fell in penalty kicks. The following season, the U17 squad advanced to the round of 16, but fell again in penalty kicks. Academically, Betancourt earned National Honors Society awards at Lower Merion and will be attending Temple’s Honors College while majoring in Computer Science.
Elias is a technical hardworking midfielder who does a great job of finding the right pass. Defensively, he covers a ton of ground and reads the game very well. He will create a lot of transition opportunities for us.

Harrison Dandridge arrives to Temple from Roanoke, Virginia. Dandridge was a star on and off the field at Patrick Henry High School. On the pitch, the 6-0 wing set the school single game record for goals with six, he was named First team all River-Ridge District in both his junior and senior seasons and was River Ridge District Player of the Year as a senior. On the club side, Dandridge suited up for VBR where the squad won the Richmond Adidas Cup all three seasons. In the classroom, he was the 2023 AP Calculus Student of the Year and the Roanoke City Public Schools Superintendent's Scholar Medal recipient.
Harrison is a dynamic attacking player who can play anywhere across the front line. He is dangerous in open space and can also create an unexpected opportunities in tight spaces. In addition to having very good feet, he also brings a physical presence to the game.

Lukas Egarter hails from Austria, where he played for Wolfsberger AC in the Austrian 1st Division. The 5-9 midfielder captained the U18 club for one season, where the team finished 8th in the league. He also plays basketball and tennis.
Lukas has been playing at the men’s level for several years and will bring experience and maturity to the field. He is a very intelligent player with a tremendous work ethic that will be a great fit for our style of play. He also provides very good service on restarts.

Felix Ewald comes to Temple from Berlin via Division II Mississippi College. Ewald had a very strong showing at Mississippi College, earned Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year, as well as First team All-South Region, and second team All-GSC last season. A versatile 6-2 wing, Ewald spent his youth days playing for Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
Felix brings college and goal scoring experience with him. He was Freshman of the Year last season in the Gulf South Conference (DII) at Mississippi College and will create problems for opposing defenses with his ability to both score as well as set up goals. His experience will also be beneficial to our young squad.

Erick Hernandez is a 5-9 defender from Southern California. Hernandez spent three years playing for Santa Barbara High School where he played Varsity as a freshman, in his sophomore and junior seasons he led the team to the California state playoffs. On the club side, Hernandez played for powerhouse Santa Barbara Soccer Club where he won Regionals twice and finished ranked 4th nationally.
Erick is an attacking left back that has the ability to break down defenses with his passing or slicing dribbles. Defensively he is a good 1v1 defender and will fit into our system well.

Andrew Kempe brings a wealth of experience to North Broad. Kempe has played extensively for both Rhode Island and Dickinson College at the collegiate level and was a multiple time league champion in high school at the Brooks School (Mass.). Kempe has also represented his home country of Bermuda at the youth level, including playing on the U-23 team at the 2023 Island Games. He also played for the North Village Rams of the Bermuda Premier Division.
Andrew brings both collegiate experience as well as maturity to the goalkeeping position. He has been a key member of two separate collegiate programs and has proven to be a strong goalkeeper at the collegiate level. Additionally, he has national team experience with Bermuda.

Jayden Jackson comes to Temple as one of the most decorated high school athletes in New Jersey. A 5-11 Midfielder, Jackson was named All-State as both a junior and a senior in addition to being All-Division and All-Conference in both years. He was also named MVP of the Senior Stars Game as a senior. As sophomore, Jackson was again named All-Division for the first time in his career, as well as being named team MVP. He was named Division Rookie of the Year when he was a freshman. Jackson suited up for Matchfit Academy on the club side, where the club won the state cup in 2018-19.
Jayden is a very exciting player who has the potential to play almost anywhere on the field for us. He is athletic and technical enough to play in the midfield and add a physical presence. He could also play anywhere across the back line as he is very good in 1v1 defending situations as well as battling with center forwards. His versatility will be a great addition to the squad.

Aaron Markowitz comes to Temple after spending his first two seasons at Florida Gulf Coast. Markowitz has logged nearly 700 minutes at the Division I level with two starts, a goal, and an assist. In his senior season at Western High School (Fla.), the 6-1 defender was the top goal scorer in Broward County, and was team captain, team MVP, and was the Broward County All Star Game MVP. On the club side, Markowitz was the top goalscorer, as well as captain of Weston FC during his senior season.
Aaron will add experience and athleticism to our backline. His experience the last two years at Florida Gulf Coast will be a welcome addition to our young group and his style of play will fit in nicely. He does a great job getting forward to support the attack as well as creating opportunities in the attacking third. On the defensive side he is a strong 1v1 defender and gives us a physical presence at either left or right back.

Gudmundur Neilsson is the first Icelander to play for the Temple men's soccer program since 2017. The 6-2 defender attended the Commercial College of Iceland this past year. Nielsson spent his youth days with Icelandic powerhouse FH Hafnarfjordur.
Gudmundur will bring an aerial presence to the backline. At 6’3” he has the size to be dyamnic in the air and has a great sense of timing and heading technique to win aerial duels and allow him to be a threat on attacking set pieces. Despite his height, he is quite mobile and athletic and will be a good fit for our aggressive defensive style. In possession he is a good passer with a great ability to play dangerous diagonal passes.

A lifelong Temple fan, Flannan Riley comes home to North Broad after playing his freshman season at St. Francis Brooklyn. He impressed in limited playing time with the Terriers, earning a GAA of 0.58 in three games and 154 minutes. The Temple connections with Riley run deep, with three of his siblings attending the University including his sister Jane who played four seasons of Rugby and was a two year captain for the Owls. He has attended numerous football and basketball games over the last few years.
Flannan is an athletic and agile goalkeeper that brings collegiate experience to our goalkeeping corp. He is a solid shot stopper and also very strong coming off of his line for crosses. Additionally, his ability to play with his feet is an important attribute for our game model. Lastly, he is a local player with family ties to Temple and it is exciting to have him coming back home to represent his hometown university.

Sebastian Voie-Andersen comes to Temple after an illustrious youth career with FC Roskilde of his home country of Denmark. Voie-Andersen had an impressive season last year, captaining the U-19 team to third in the national league standings and reaching the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League in Barcelona where they fell to international power Benefica in penalty kicks.
Sebastian has great vision and understanding of the game. As a center back he is excellent at reading the opponent and being in the right place defensively. He also has great timing in the air and on the tackle. On the attacking side of things he has excellent composure and is very capable of breaking lines with a crisp pass or driving on the dribble. His experience will definitely add to our strength on the back line.

Nikolai Zapolskikh arrives to Temple after spending his high school days attending the Florida Virtual School and playing for MLS Next side Orlando City SC. A 6-0 defender, Zapolskikh led his squad to the semi-finals of the MLS Next Playoffs as a junior and an unbeaten regular season alongside and the MLS Next Finals as a senior. High level sport runs in his blood, with his father, Dmitri being a member of the Latvian Judo National Team.
Nikolai is a solid and versatile defender. He can defend on the flanks in 1v1 situations against tricky wingers and he can battle in the middle against big strong center forwards. He is also a very good passer out of the back and comfortable under pressure.

Juan Zepeda bring an impressive soccer background to Temple. Zepeda played for Atlas FC in the Liga MX youth system, one of the best in the world. While playing for Atlas, the 6-3 striker played on three straight teams that advanced to the youth semi-finals or better, including the Liga MX U-18 National Champions, and the U-20 national runners up.
Juan has played at the highest youth level in Mexico and continuously showed a great knack and feel for scoring goals. His ability to score on half chances, off crosses, with his head, or 1v1 will make him a constant threat. In the buildup he will be able to be a reliable target to play into so we can possess the ball.
