Women's Basketball's Jaleesa Molina to Compete in U20 FIBA European Championship

PHILADELPHIA – Jaleesa Molina, who will join the Temple women's basketball team this upcoming season, has been selected to represent the Netherlands in the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship. The Netherlands is ranked 49th in the world entering the event, and will compete in Division B.
The Orange Lions will be competing in Group C alongside Croatia, Kosovo, and Slovenia. After group play has concluded, the two highest seeds will advance in the winner's bracket, while the bottom two seeds will be sent to the losers bracket. All teams, regardless of performance, will play six games over 10 days. All matches will be streamed on the FIBA YouTube channel.
Molina has represented the Netherlands in several events, including 27 FIBA 3x3 events such as the U18 World Cup in August 2022 where she led her country to 6th place. Most recently, Molina represented her country in the FIBA U18 European Championships where she averaged 21.3 minutes per game, scored 6.8 points, shot 47.1% from the field, and dominated the glass with 6.3 rebounds per game in the six matches. She has played for several clubs in the Netherlands, most recently with Landslake of the Dutch Basketball League.
