15 Gymnasts Earn WCGA Scholastic All-American Honors

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Temple gymnastics team had 15 gymnasts named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-Americans, the association announced on Thursday.
To be named a WCGA Scholastic All-American, a gymnast must have a minimum of a 3.50 GPA for the 2022-2023 academic year.
The Owls combined for a 3.67 GPA, while the 14 WCGA All-Americans earned a 3.5 or higher, including 12 members of the team earning a 3.80 GPA or higher for the 2022-23 academic school year.
Overall, the association had 54 teams and a record number of student-athletes (1,075) with a GPA of 3.5 or more, the third consecutive year of more than 1,000 Scholastic All-America team members were awarded.
Recent graduate Julianna Roland and current team, Brooke Donabedian, Renee Schugman and Cyrena Whalen earned their third WCGA honors.
Seven others including Mackenzie Aresta, Jewel Clark, Anna Hill, Lanie Hyman, Summer Ruskey, Sarah Stallings, and Hannah Stallings are repeat recipients for the Cherry and White squad.
