Field Hockey to Open BIG EAST Play

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team will open its BIG EAST schedule at home, hosting UConn on Sept. 15 before heading to Lehigh on Sept. 17.
Scouting Temple
> The Owls snapped a two-game skid last weekend, topping LIU and JMU. Temple's 2-1 victory over the Dukes marked the first time in program history Temple has defeated James Madison.
> Tess Muller leads the team with a pair of goals, scoring both game-winners on opening weekend. Kate Miller and Lina Neilson each scored their first in Cherry and White at JMU, with Alizé Maes posting two assists on the weekend.
> Temple has been outscored 10-7, averaging just over one goal a game (1.17). The Cherry and White is outshooting its opponents 65-50, with Maes' 13 leading the team.
> Molly Frey has seen all 360 minutes in the cage, recording 21 saves for a 1.67 GAA and a .667 save percentage.
