It will be Temple's AAC home opener.

PHILADELPHIA- The Temple men's soccer team will return home Saturday night to continue conference play when they host UAB at 7:00pm. The Owls will resume play after Tuesday's scheduled matchup at Drexel was postponed in the wake of Temple Acting President JoAnne Epps' passing.

News from the Nest
> The Owls dropped their fourth straight match last Saturday night at FIU, falling 5-1 after enduring a 30 minute rain delay prior to kickoff. Lucas Hitters scored Temple's only goal, finding the net in the 86th minute for his first career score.
> All five of Temple's goals this season have been scored by underclassmen, including three by freshmen. Hitters joined George Medill, Elias Betancourt, Nikolai Zapolskikh and Gudmundur Neilsson in the scoresheet with his goal on Saturday.
> The Owls have had each of their last three contested matches delayed by weather for a total of 4 hours and 15 minutes. St. John's and FIU both had delayed starts, while Temple's last home contest against American featured a two-hour delay just before halftime.

Scouting the Blazers
> UAB enters with an 0-4-2 record. They dropped their conference opener 3-0 to Charlotte on Sunday.
> Freshman Isaac Calderon leads the Blazers with two goals, 12 total shots, and nine shots on goal.

Series History
> The Owls and Blazers battled to a 1-1 tie last year in Birmingham. It was the two teams' first ever meeting in UAB's first season in the American. Five yellow cards and one red were issued in the match.
