No. 19 Field Hockey Falls at Old Dominion

NORFOLK, Va. - The No. 19 Temple field hockey team (6-3, 1-1 BIG EAST) fell 1-0 at Old Dominion Friday afternoon, snapping a four-game winning streak. 

Recapping the Game
> Neither team had much offensive momentum in the first quarter, with both teams taking zero shots.
> Alizé Maes fired a rocket in the second quarter, but the ODU keeper cleared the attempt.
> The Monarchs found the go-ahead goal with just two minutes left in the half as Sanci Molkenboer tipped in a pass from Emily Tammaro.
> Temple tried to find the equalizer coming out of the half, but Old Dominion defense kept the Owls from firing any shots in the second half.

Statistically Speaking
> ODU outshot the Cherry and White 7-1, putting four on target.
> The Monarchs also won the corner battle, 5-1, but the Temple defense successfully cleared all five attempts.
> Molly Frey posted three saves.

> The Cherry and White will return home to continue BIG EAST play, hosting No. 9 Liberty on Friday Sept. 29.
