Cross Country Competes at Paul Short Run

BETHELEM, Pa. – The Temple men's and women's cross country teams were back in action this morning at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University. The men's team finished 22nd out of 43 squads, while the women's team ended up in 42nd out of 44. Top runners Elvira Bredin and Graham Thomas did not race for the women and men, respectively.
Yale took first in the men's college gold 8k. Utah Valley led the pack in the gold 6k. Cole Frank impressed for the second straight meet after finishing in 12 at Penn State. He finished 39th in a field of nearly 400 runners from across the country. Christian Fitch also had a strong performance, coming in at 115. Elsa Chan continued her stellar season, checking in at 62. She has paced Temple's women in all three meets.

On the men:
"We fell short of our expectations today, with a couple of unexpected changes mid race which impacted our top 5 score. Cole had a good run individually and our 2-5 moved up well throughout the race."
On the women:
"We had a smaller group out there today, but I was pleased with how our top three ran. We have a couple of freshman ladies that are new to college racing and still trying to figure it out."
Overall Performance:
"Our The season isn't over yet and we will be using the next few weeks wisely to get to work; training smarter and harder than we ever have."
