BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Temple golf team concluded its final round at the Elon Phoenix Invitational on Tuesday. Senior Ethan Whitney led the way with a one-under par 70, as the Owls closed in 13th place as a team.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Whitney was relatively consistent throughout his round on Tuesday, carding 13 pars en route to his round of 70.
Overall, Whitney was the top individual finisher for Temple, closing in a tie for 21st at one-over par 214.
Senior Michael Walsh was the next best competitor for the Owls, carding a birdie and an eagle on his round of 73.
UNC Greensboro, East Carolina, and Elon finished at the top of the team leaderboard in that order.
Longwood's Justin LaRue earned a two-stroke individual victory with his impressive 12-under par finish.

UP NEXT

The Owls continue the fall season locally at the Big 5 Invitational on Thursday, October 24.
The event will take place at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa.
