Men's Golf Set for Big 5 Championship on Thursday

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. - The Temple men's golf team will square off against the five local Division I programs at the Big 5 Championship Thursday. The 18-hole, one-day event will take place at the famed Aronimink Golf Club that will host the 2026 PGA Championship. The Owls will tee off with two other teams at 9:00 a.m.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- Senior Ethan Whitney has led the way all fall season for the Owls, posting a team-best scoring average of 70.7.Â
- Over seven rounds, Whitney has posted four under-par cards including a school-record-tying 65 at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic.
- Whitney has earned a pair of Top-20 finishes, including a Top 5 at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic.
- Senior Michael Walsh has also started his final campaign for Temple strongly, posting a 72.0 scoring average over seven rounds.
- At last week's Elon Phoenix Invitational, the team shot a second-round 287 that featured three players at even par on the round -- Whitney, Aidan Emmerich, and Jake Naese.
