Men's Soccer to Take on Memphis in First of Two-Match Homestand

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team returns to Philadelphia on Saturday, Oct. 12 as the Owls will face off against the Memphis Tigers. This will be the first of two home matches over four days as afterward, Temple will compete against Mercyhurst on Oct. 15.

Scouting Temple

Andrew Kempe is slated to start in goal for the Owls. TU currently ranks first in the conference as a team in saves with 56 this season.
Against South Florida, Charlie Votel recorded a career-high two shots on goal, leading the charge on offense.
Through three matches of conference play, Diego Diaz has played 270 minutes, not seeing the bench once and leading TU in overall minutes. Diaz has recorded three shots in seven starts, previously earning the Philly Soccer Six Defensive Player of the Week award (Sept. 18).

Scouting Memphis

The Tigers are undefeated in AAC play with a 3-0 record. Memphis also holds the best road record in the conference at 3-1.
Memphis is coming off of a 1-0 win over No. 9 Charlotte. Adam Yousfi found the back of the net in the 51st minute for the lone Memphis goal.
The Tigers are coached by Richard Mulrooney. Mulrooney is in his 11th season at the helm as head coach of Memphis, accumulating a record of 76-80-24.

Series History against Memphis
This will be the 14th meeting between Temple and Memphis. The Owls hold a 6-5-2 all-time advantage, last meeting in 2022.
