  • The Owls are back at the Liacouras Center to take on the Princeton.
  • Temple is coming off a 52-43 victory over Drexel on Saturday afternoon.
  • Tiarra East led the way for the Owls on Saturday with 15 points, which she scored 15 points in the second half.
  • Anissa Rivera had her fourth straight game with double-digit points following her 12-point performance against Drexel.
  • Temple trailed Drexel the whole first half but fought back to take the lead with three minutes remaining in the third quarter.
  • Temple outrebounded Drexel 42-38, six coming from Amaya Oliver and Rivera.
  • Temple had 12 offensive rebounds in the first half with 10 points in the paint.
  • The Owls will face La Salle in another Big Five contest on December 1 in the John Glaser Arena in Philadelphia, Pa.

Scouting the Tigers

  • Princeton beat Rutgers on Sunday afternoon by a score of 66-46
  • Madison St. Rose is the leading score for the Tigers, averaging 17 points and 7.3 rebounds per game
  • St. Rose, Skye Belker, and Ashley Chea are all averaging double-digit points for Princeton. Belker (12.8 points), Chea (12.5 points), while St. Rose is averaging (17 points).
  • Princeton shot 41% against Rutgers, making 29-70 FG attempts.
  • The Tigers controlled the boards against Rutgers, where Princeton outrebounded the Scarlet Knights 46-33.
  • Princeton had 19 offensive rebounds in the game against Rutgers.
  • The Tigers have won two straight, winning over Seton Hall (11/21/24) and Rutgers (11/24/24).
  • Princeton had a record of 25-5 in the 23-24 season while going 13-1 in conference play.
  • The Tigers were crowned the 23-24 Ivy League Tournament Champions for the fifth straight year.

T-Mac Moves Up All-Time Three-Point Leaderboard

  • Fifth-year Tarriyonna Gary, nicknamed "T-Mac", has been a sharpshooter from the moment she stepped foot on campus just over two years ago.
  • Gary has led the team in three-point field goals made in each of the last two seasons, and connected on four more threes in a 79-72 loss to Richmond on Nov. 4.
  • Gary moves up to 7th in temple history with 135 three-pointers made. Gary surpassed Marissa Mackins (2018-20) and Clauderna Harold (1994-97). Gary has solidified her place among the top players in the program's history. She also ranks 4th in Temple's school history with a 37.0% three-point shooting percentage.

The Intangibles

  • The bench points were the factor against Drexel, as the Owls had 21 bench points compared to the Dragon's 7 points.
  • Temple's defense was stellar in the second half as Drexel made only seven shots in the third and fourth quarters combined
  • The Owls locked defense held Drexel to 1-10 shooting behind the three-point line in the second half.
  • The Owls are tied for 33rd in the country in offensive rebounds per game (16)
  • The Owls rank 34th in the country in turnovers forced per game with (23)
  • Tristen Taylor is ranked 7th in the country in Assist/Turnover ratio (25/5)

Welcome to College

  • Felicia Jacobs recorded her first collegiate points on (11/23/24), with a buzzer-beating layup that trimmed the deficit to five in her team's comeback victory over Drexel. The London native has appeared in four games, averaging two rebounds and 10 minutes of play per game.
  • Freshman Savannah Curry and Adena Webster made an impact Tuesday evening. Curry scored her first collegiate points (11/19/24) against Georgetown and finished the game with 12 points shooting 5-8 from the field, five rebounds, and one steal.  
  • Curry was a state champion locally at Westtown School and scored more than 1,000 points in her high school career.
  • Adena Webster scored her first collegiate points (11/19/24) against Georgetown after drawing the contact and being sent to the line making one of two free throws.  
  • Webster averaged 34.4 points per game at Archbishop Carroll in Miami as a junior and was an All-Dade County honoree after starring at the junior level in her native Bahamas.
  • They are three of the seven newcomers Temple welcomed to the 2024-25 season.
