East Earns Big 5 & AAC Honors After Big 5 Championship

PHILADELPHIA - Tiarra East's dominant 26-point performance against Villanova in the Big 5 Championship earned her American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. East was also named Big 5 Player of the Week after her MVP performance in the Big 5 Championship. 

Against Villanova, East went 10-18 from the field, scoring 26 points and collecting five rebounds with two assists. East's performance helped lift Temple to a 76-62 victory over Villanova and helped the Owls secure the inaugural Big 5 Championship.
