Golf Remains in the Mix After Day 2 in Puerto Rico

HUMACAO, P.R. – The Owls stayed remained in a tie for ninth place after the second day of the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate with an overall score of 578 (+2). Sophomore Aidan Emmerich shot his second consecutive one-under 71 which places him tied for 17th overall. The team as a whole has the second-best scoring average (4.5) on par fives.

- Emmerich birdied holes 16 and 17 to help him shoot his second consecutive 71. He is the only player on the team to shoot two rounds under par.
- Senior Graham Chase carded another 73 on day two and stands tied for second for scoring average on par 3s with a combined score of one-under.
- Junior Ethan Whitney bounced back on the back nine with three birdies and a two-under 34 to help him shoot 74 on the day.
- With three birdies on the front nine, Junior Michael Walsh scored an even par 72.
- Arkansas and tournament host, UNC Greensboro, lead the tournament with a team score of 19-under. UNC Greensboro led the day with an impressive score of 16-under.
- UNCG graduate student, Symon Balbin stands alone at the top of individuals with an overall score of nine under.
The Owls will wrap up their first tournament of the spring tomorrow in Puerto Rico.
