Men's Tennis Stumbles Against Bucknell Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's tennis team dropped to 5-10 on Sunday afternoon as it fell to the Bucknell Bison by the score of 6-1 at the Hecht Tennis Center at the University of Penn.

NOTES:

Penn earned the doubles point, defeating Temple in two of the three matches.
Dante Russo and Pranav Nemani defeated Liam Kilmer and Tim Zelikovsky from the third position, 6-0. Bucknell earned victories from the first and second positions, starting with Brendan McDonald and Amar Tahirovic going over on Martim Marujo and Maj Najvirt Kolaric, 6-2. Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega and Adam Stavrakas downed Gregoire Barety and Adam Kresina, 6-4.
In singles, Oscar Bain de Moreno defeated Erden Er out of the third position to begin singles play, 6-2, 6-2. Kresina picked up the Owls only win of the afternoon over McDonald out of the fourth position, 6-2, 6-3 out of the fourth position. In the fifth position, Nemani also lost his match with Kilmer, 6-3, 6-2. In the first position, Tahirovic knocked off Russo 5-0, 7-6. Paul Hannack got the start in the sixth position and fought a tough context against Zelikovsky, but eventually falling 6-4, 6-4. Marujo also showed some fight taking Stavrakas to three sets from the second position, but also falling, 6-2, 1-6, 6-4.
