Owls’ Gymnastics Earns 10 EAGL All-Conference Selections

TOWSON, Md. – On Monday, nine Temple gymnastics team members earned 10 2024 All-East Gymnastics League (EAGL) honors, announced by the league.
Senior Brooke Donabedian led the Owls team with a pair All-EAGL honors. The Maple Valley, Wash. native earned herself her first-ever first-team plaudit on beam, and her third overall. Donabedian's beam selection marks the school's first-ever first-team plaudit. The fourth-year gymnast also picked up her third first-team honor on floor, and fourth overall.
Also on beam, junior Madison Dorunda earns her second straight second-team plaudit, while senior Renee Schugman earns her first-ever beam selection, also on the second team.
Joining their teammate Donabedian on the floor with their first-ever selections are second teamers, freshman Payton Monk and junior Summer Ruskey.
On bars, Sarah Stallings and Cyrena Whalen earned their second career selections. For the the junior Stallings it's her first-ever first-team selection, while the senior Whalen picks up her second second-team membership.Sophomore Emily Johnson added her first-ever selection.
Senior Mackenzie Aresta was the lone Owl to receive honors on vault, picking up her first-ever selection, good for the second team.
The first-team All-EAGL on each event and in the all-around consists of the top eight ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the 10-week regular season. The second-team All-EAGL consists of the No. 9 to No. 16 ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the regular season.
The Cherry and White are back in action on Saturday, competing at the 2024 EAGL Championships at Towson University.
