Johnson and Novoseltseva Finish 15th at 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Freshman Lauren Johnson and junior Anna Novoseltseva wrapped up the 2024 NCAA Championships with the final two rounds of pool play on Friday ending their championship run, placing 15th overall.

- In rounds four and five, the sabreist Johnson had 29 touches scored and 32 touches received with a total indicator of minus six. Overall, throughout the NCAA Championships, the Washington, D.C. native finished 15th overall with 11 wins in 23 overall bouts. The sabreist earned 86 touches scored and had 91 touches against for a minus-five indicator.
- Novoseltseva finalized her last day over two rounds of foil with four wins in eight bouts. The Grand Rapids, Mich. native had 25 touches scored and 33 touches received for an indicator of minus 7. Notably in round five, the foilist added three of her four bout victories on the day with a plus two indicator score. Just like Johnson, Novoseltseva finished 15th overall in her third straight NCAA appearance with 11 wins in 23 bouts. The junior finished with 76 touches scored and 93 touches received for an indicator of minus 17.
