Women's Tennis Earns Fifth Straight Win Against Wagner on Sunday Evening

PHILADELPHIA – On Sunday evening, the Temple Owls (5-2) took down the Wagner Seahawks (4-8) at the Hecht Tennis Center, 5-1. This marks the fifth straight win for women's tennis.

NOTES:
- The Owls swept in doubles action, tallying three points to secure Temple's team doubles point. From the second position, Thamara Frasser Kawaratani/Jessie Zheng came up with a 6-1 victory against Wagner's Bentsianov/Schoenfed. The No. 19 nationally ranked tandem of Maiko Uchijima and Samantha Nanere followed suit, topping Perraudin/Dakic, 6-3. Sena Takebe and Evie Wei secured a 6-1 win against Uy/Lin, marking their third consecutive doubles victory of the season.
- Today marked Zheng's fourth and Wei's third consecutive singles wins. Wei started singles action on a strong note for the Owls, defeating Schoenfed, 6-0, 6-0. Zheng finalized the second singles win for Temple as she topped Lin, 6-0, 6-1. The third victory came from Uchijima in the first position as she took down Perraudin, 6-4, 7-6. The final triumph was achieved from the third position where Takebe dominated Uy, 7-5, 6-3.
