PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis (6-2) defeated the FDU Knights (4-4) on Tuesday afternoon, 6-1. Since starting 0-2 early in the season, the Owls have won six straight matches.

NOTES:

Temple tandems Evie Wei/Jessie Zheng and Marianthi Christoforidou/Vineetha Mummadi won doubles for the Owls. Wei/Zheng defeated FDU's Turro/Silva, 6-1 to start the slew of victories. In their first win as a pairing, Christoforidou/Mummadi assured Temple's point with a 6-1 match against Bhagla/Kostsina.
Maiko Uchijima and Thamara Frasser Kawaratani secured two more points for the Owls in singles action, followed by Zheng and Mummadi adding another pair of wins to the Cherry and White triumph. Wei solidified the sixth point for Temple from the sixth position.
