PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Women's Tennis team (8-5) swept the Binghamton Bearcats (1-16), 7-0. This marks the Owls' eighth win at home.

NOTES:

Temple won the doubles point, winning all three matches. Maiko Uchijima and Marianthi Christoforidou won the first match for the Owls, dominating Binghamton's Korir/Perura, 6-2. From the first position, Jessie Zheng and Evie Wei also achieved a 6-2 victory against Ackroyd/Cuomo. The duo leads the team in doubles, this match marking their sixth spring season win. Samantha Nanere and Vineetha Mummadi earned their second doubles win as a pair, topping Casade/Jaros, 6-1.
The Owls won all six singles matches to secure their win over the Bearcats. Christoforidou tabbed the first singles victory from the first position, sweeping Kaplan 6-0, 6-0. Zheng followed suit, defeating Perura 6-0, 6-2. From the fifth position, Mummadi took away a 6-1,6-1 win against Vyas, followed by an Uchjima victory versus Casadei, 6-2, 6-2. Sena Takebe tallied the fifth singles win for Temple, topping Ackroyd, 6-2, 6-3. In a three-set thriller, Nanere came up triumphant against Cuomo, 1-6, 6-1, 10-5.
