Tiarra East Awarded Big 5 Co-Player of the Week and AAC Honor Roll

PHILADELPHIA — Temple Women's Basketball junior guard Tiarra East earned several weekly honors following an outstanding week on the hardwood for the Owls.
East was honored with Big 5 Co-Player of the Week, American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, and Temple Athletics Athlete of the Week.
As Temple remained in the hunt for the American Athletic Conference regular season title, East played a crucial role. East had a career day in an 81-66 victory over East Carolina, recording a 28-point, 13-rebound performance — both totals are career highs, and her performance marked her sixth career double-double. Across Temple's two games this week, East averaged 22.0 points and 10.5 rebounds.
The Owls close out the regular season against Florida Atlantic on Wednesday night at the Liacouras Center, with the game tipping off at 7 p.m. The team will honor five seniors, as the Owls play for a chance at the AAC regular season title. Tickets can be purchased here.
