Golf to Compete in Rutherford Intercollegiate

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Temple Men's Golf team travels to State College, Pa for the Rutherford Intercollegiate this weekend (April 15-16). The 12-team event is being held at the Penn State Blue Course, which is a par-71, 7,171-yard course. The tournament consists of 54 holes over a two-day period.

The tournament is hosted by Penn State University and includes the following teams: Binghamton, Colgate, Connecticut, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgetown, George Mason, St. Bonaventure, Rhode Island, Towson, and Valparaiso
Previewing the Owls
- Aidan Emmerich has put together quite the season for the Owls in just his sophomore year. Emmerich leads the team in scoring average (72.6), top 5 finishes (2), top-10 finishes (5), and top 20 finishes (7). He put together his best performance of the spring at the Princeton Invitational, shooting one-over and placing t-9th.
- Graham Chase also has a sub 73 scoring average on the season. This was helped with his stellar round of 66 at the Princeton Invitational. The lowest round for an Owl on the season.
- Ethan Whitney is tied for Emmerich with most top-five finishes on the year with two.
- Jake Haberstumpf will make his spring debut this weekend. He competed in three tournaments and seven rounds in the fall, compiling a 76.6 scoring average and a top-20 finish.
- Matthew Vital will get another chance in this weekends tournament. He has competed in two tournaments in the spring, and six overall, accruing a 75.9 scoring average.
