Golf Tied for 7th After Day One at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Temple Men's Golf team finished up the first 36 holes in seventh place overall at the Princeton Invitational. The Owls carded a score of 20-over par on the day. They shot a 302 in round one and then improved by 16 strokes in round two, shooting a 286. Graham Chase and Aidan Emmerich are both tied for 14th overall.

Recapping the Round
- Chase finished his first round with a six-over 71 and then shot an impressive five-under 66 in round two. His 66 was the second-best score of anyone in the field on the day and was the only Owl to break 70.
- Emmerich also rounded out his day with a one-over, 143. He shot a 70 in round one and 73 in round two. The sophomore performed best on the par fours, going three-under combined, the second-best score on par fours for the field.
- Ethan Whitney placed tied for 28th with a 76 in round one and 72 in round two. He finished up round two with four birdies in the final seven holes.
- Joey Morganti is tied for 57th with a score of 13-over. Michael Walsh is tied for 61st with a score of 14-over.
The Field
- Howard University leads the field with a team score of two-under. They shot 285 in round one and 281 in round two.
- Gregory Odom Jr. of Howard University is the individual leader, shooting a 66 and 70 for an overall score of six-under par.
- Tyler Brand of Dartmouth had the best single-round score after shooting an impressive ten-under 61 in round two. He is tied for 20th overall.
