PHILADELPHIA — The Temple Women's Basketball program added a new signee to its 2024-25 roster, as Head Coach Diane Richardson announced the signing of forward Felicia Jacobs-Abiola.
Jacobs-Abiola comes to North Philadelphia by way of the United Kingdom, where she played for CoLA Southwark Pride and the FIBA U16 and U18 teams. The 5-foot, 11-inch forward is set to provide the Owls with frontcourt depth this upcoming season.
In 2023-24, Jacobs-Abiola played in 21 games for CoLa Southwark Pride, averaging 11.5 points off 46.1% shooting from the field. She averaged 11.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and .7 blocks per game, helping the team go 17-5 on the season. She also appeared in six games for City of London Academy of the WEABL, where the forward averaged 11.7 points and 12.3 rebounds per contest.
Jacobs-Abiola also brings national-team experience to Temple, having competed on the Great Britain U16 and U18 teams. In 2023-24, she played in seven games for Great Britain U18W, where she averaged 8.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
During the 2022-23 season with CoLa Southwark Pride, Abiola-Jacobs played in 22 games and averaged 8.3 points off 52.9% field goal shooting. She grabbed 6.5 boards per game that same season.
The signing of Jacobs-Abiola concludes a busy spring for Richardson and the Temple women's basketball program. The team also added transfers Kaylah Turner, Amaya Oliver, and Anissa Rivera.
