Fencing Earns USFCA All-Academic Team Distinction; 14 All-Academic Team, 8 Named Scholars of Distinction

2024 USFCA Award Winners

PHILADELPHIA - The USFCA has announced the 2024 NCAA Fencing Academic Awards, with Temple fencing among those honored. The Owls earned All-Academic Team honors with a 3.46 combined GPA, while 14 fencers were named to the All-Academic Team and eight were named Scholars of Distinction.

The USFCA All-Academic Team includes 536 student-athletes with 326 receiving recognition as Scholars of Distinction. All-Academic Team honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholar of Distinction honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher.

Twenty women's teams led by Duke University who received the Women's Scholar Team of the Year Award with a USFCA-best team GPA of 3.83, just ahead of the University of Pennsylvania with a 3.815 GPA and Brown University with a 3.8 GPA.
