Women's Soccer Battles To Final Whistle Against Monmouth

PHILADELPHIA – Tamsin Bynoe made 14 saves, but a goal late in the second half allowed the Monmouth Hawks to escape with a 1-0 win against the Temple women's soccer team on Wednesday.

- The 14 saves for Bynoe were a career-high. Her previous best was eight against Providence on September 3, 2023.
- Carly Steinberg recorded a pair of shots on goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls had to weather the storm early as the Hawks delivered four shots in the first 10 minutes. Two were saved by Bynoe and two more were blocked by the defense.
- Temple started to find its offensive rhythm in the final third of the frame, coming away with four strikes in the final 16:24 of the stanza, including a pair of shots on target off a free kick in the 41st minute.
- The second half started much the same way as the first as Monmouth peppered TU with early shots, but the defense and goalkeeping were up to the task.
- The game remained scoreless into the 74th minute when the Hawks produced the only tally of the contest.
