Owls Upended by Wildcats

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Temple women's soccer team found its legs after a rough start, but was upended 4-0 against the Villanova Wildcats on Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats got on the board with a pair of goals in the first quarter hour, one in the 12th minute and the second in the 14th minute. Temple righted the ship and played evenly before Villanova scored one more first half tally and added a second half goal to create the final scoreline.
Despite the result, TU recorded five of its seven shots on target and made seven saves in the contest.
The Owls travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to play Wake Forest on Thursday evening. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. with the match streaming on ESPN+.
