Men's Crew Welcomes Back Van Vuuren as Graduate Assistant

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's crew returns a familiar face to the boathouse as Brandon Van Vuuren has been named a graduate assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.
Van Vuuren recently wrapped up a decorated senior season with the Owls. He was a key member of the Varsity 8+ this past season as he led the Owls to a silver medal performance at the Knecht Cup and a bronze medal at the Dad Vail Regatta. The senior was honored as one of 25 recipients of the Diamond Award, Temple's highest recognition given to an undergraduate by the Office of Student Affairs.
Additionally, the South African was recognized on the 2024 Temple Trustee Ten as having one of the ten highest GPAs in the athletic department and was on the President's Honor Roll with a 3.94 GPA, earning a degree in psychology.
As a graduate assistant, Van Vuuren will be earning his masters in Communications, focusing on development and social change.
