Men's Soccer Delivers Hard-Fought Effort Against Monmouth

PHILADELPHIA - Despite a hard-fought effort, the Temple men's soccer team fell to Monmouth 2-0 on Thursday evening. With the loss, the Owls dropped to 1-1-1 while the Monmouth Hawks improved their record to 2-0-0.
Despite an aggressive start from the Owls, Monmouth struck first in the 24th minute to give the Hawks the one-goal advantage. The Owls would continue to apply pressure in the second half, ultimately out-shooting Monmouth 11-8 by the final whistle. Despite this effort, Monmouth would increase their lead in the 55th minute to finish with a 2-0 victory.
Next, the Owls will travel south to take on the American Eagles on Monday, Sept. 2nd. The action is slated to start at 7:00 p.m. from Boyds, Md.
