Golf's Opening Fall Season Event in North Carolina Cancelled Due to Course Conditions

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - Due to poor weather and course conditions, Temple golf's season-opening event hosted by North Carolina State has been canceled.Â
The Club at 12 Oaks course had taken on water in the days leading up to the event and forecasts in the area call for up to three inches more rain in the next day or two.
At the time of the cancellation, the Owls were tied for fourth place as a team with Ethan Whitney tied for fifth individually at even-par.
Next up for the squad is the Temple Invitational at the 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., on Sept. 21-22. More information on the event will be available on owlsports.com.
