Golf Set to Host Temple Invitational This Weekend

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. - The Temple University men's golf team will play host to 10 other teams at its annual Temple Invitational this weekend. The 11-team field will play 36 holes at The 1912 Club, a 7,062-yard, par-70 course, beginning Saturday, Sept. 21 and extending through Sept. 22.

- Temple was scheduled to open the fall campaign at the Wolfpack Fall Intercollegiate in North Carolina on Sept. 16-17.
- After making the turn during their first round of play, the Owls were forced to halt play due to inclement weather and course conditions. The remainder of the tournament was canceled.
- Prior to the cancelation, Ethan Whitney was tied for fifth individually at even-par and the team was tied for fourth.
- The Owls will have two five-member squads entered in the field - the Cherry & White teams.
- Joining Temple in the two-day tournament are Cornell, Dartmouth, Drexel, Francis Marion, La Salle, Lehigh, Mount St. Mary's, Penn, Rider, and Saint Joseph's.
- Teams are scheduled to tee off at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, and beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.
