Golf Returns to Action at ECU's Ironwood Collegiate on Monday

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Temple golf team continues its fall season on Monday and Tuesday with the Ironwood Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina. The 54-hole event will take place at the Ironwood Country Club.

ABOUT THE OWLS

The team most recently hosted the Temple Invitational on Sept. 21-22.
Aidan Emmerich and Ethan Whitney led the way for the Owls with 12th-place finishes individually.
Emmerich had a steady round one, parring the final 14 holes of his two-over par 72 round.
Over two rounds of his tournament, Whitney shot even-par on the back nine with three birdies and three bogeys (18 holes).
Matthew Vital led Temple with seven birdies over the 36-hole event, including three over his final six holes en route to a final-round 72.
A pair of other performers put together Top-20 showings, as Drew Clark made his Temple debut with a tie for 18th, alongside Michael Walsh.
The Cherry team moved up two spots on the final day to finish fourth, and the White team jumped three other teams to take seventh overall.

THE FIELD

In addition to the Owls and host East Carolina, 13 other teams are scheduled to compete.
Barton College, Florida Atlantic, West Georgia, Gardner-Webb, North Carolina A&T, UCF, Old Dominion, Presbyterian, LIU, UMES, Appalachian State, Florida A&M, and Queens University are the other schools that comprise the field.
