Field Hockey Picks Up 10th Win of Season with 6-0 Shutout of Lock Haven

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Rozlyn Maciejewski opened the scoring for Temple midway through the first quarter, as she converted off a feed from freshman Amanda Martin.
- Right before the close of the opening period, Isabella Pisano converted a penalty corner opportunity after key feeds from Mathea Lassalle and Mara Lenting.
- The second quarter saw Lock Haven hold the Owls shotless, but the shutout remained intact thanks to a pair of defended penalty corners by the Owls, including one that resulted in a save by Alex Lepore.
- Less than a minute into the third period, Peyton Rieger found the back of the cage off another assist from Martin, and Lassalle put the score at 4-0 on a goal in the 38th minute.
- Freshman Kathryn Gauvin registered her fifth goal of the season to bump Temple's lead to 5-0 before Maciejewski closed the scoring with a goal in the fourth quarter.
- Lepore totaled two saves and combined with Isabella Ospitale on the shutout win.
- Temple outshot Lock Haven, 22-6, and held a decided 12-5 advantage in penalty corners.
- The 6-0 margin of victory matched last season's score.
- Rieger's goal and assist on the match moved her to the 20-point mark for the season (7 G, 6 A).
- Temple travels to Virginia for a key BIG EAST matchup with Old Dominion on Friday, Oct. 17.
