Men's Golf Wraps Up Play at Elon Phoenix Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Temple University men's golf team finished up the 54-hole Elon Phoenix Invitational with its best team round of the event on Tuesday. The Owls shot an even-par round of 284, including three players shooting par or better. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Senior Aidan Emmerich was the top Temple scorer on Tuesday, posting a three-under par round of 68 that included five birdies and 11 pars.
  • Emmerich registered an unblemished two-under par score on the front (33) that saw him tally a pair of birdies and seven pars.
  • Freshman Nicholas Pisarski and senior Jake Naese were the two other Owls that scored even par or better, each putting together even-par rounds of 71.
  • Pisarski ended his tournament at one-under par 212, the best finish of any Temple player as he tied for 29th individually.
  • Naese had the best back nine of any Temple golfer, going two-under par over the nine holes including two birdies and seven pars.
  • The host school, Elon, won the team portion of the competition by six strokes over UNC Wilmington, with Phoenix golfer Landon Durham earning medalist honors by six strokes ahead of Charleston Southern's Owen Newberry.
