Temple Travels to the Sunshine State to Face FAU and USF

PHILADELPHIA – Temple volleyball will head to Florida to continue American Athletic Conference play. The Owls are set to face Florida Atlantic University on Friday at 6 p.m. and the University of South Florida on Sunday at noon.
OWLS IN THE NEST
Last time out, freshman defensive specialist Maddie Metcalf recorded 25 digs, three aces, and finished with an .885 reception percentage. Against Charlotte, Metcalf posted season highs in both service aces (3) and digs (17).
Christiana Greene led the offense with 22 kills, a .214 hitting percentage, and three blocks, recording double-digit kills in both matches.
Setter Lexi Yoza paced the attack with 37 assists, three service aces, and 18 digs.
In conference play, senior Alyssa Finister ranks eighth in the American in hitting percentage at .324 over 20 matches.
Scouting FAU
Florida Atlantic is coming off a four-set win over ECU, where leading scorer Olivia Hart tied her career high with 18 kills and recorded her seventh double-double of the season. Hart ranks fourth in the conference in service aces, totaling 27 over 67 sets. Against the Pirates, FAU tallied 16 blocks, led by Anna Hartman with seven. Head coach Fernanda Nelson is in her 13th season at the helm for the Florida Atlantic Owls.

South Florida is coming off a four-set win over Tulane, where Maria Clara Andrade posted 18 kills for her ninth straight match with double-digit kills. As a team, the Bulls hit .338—their second-highest mark this season. In conference play, South Florida ranks second in assists, led by Raegan Richardson, who averages 8.84 assists per set. The Bulls are led by 2024 American Coach of the Year Jolene Shepardson, now in her fifth season at the helm.
