Women’s Rowing Opens Fall Season Sunday at Navy Day Regatta

PHILADELPHIA – The Owls will hit the river for the first competition of the fall on Saturday, October 25 at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Temple was scheduled to compete in the Navy Day Regatta, but it was cancelled due to inclement weather in the Philadelphia area.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- Temple enters the 2025 fall season as a newly added member to the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Owls won't compete in any MAC related ragattas this fall, but all efforts on the river now is aimed toward making the spring season successful.
- This is the first of four events Temple will be a part of during the fall season. In two weekends, Temple will compete in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on October 25. The Owls will then travel to face Princeton in New Jersey on November 2, and will wrap up the fall season the following weekend on November 8 on the Schuylkill at the Tail of the Turkey.
- Seniors Eve Keesecker and Samantha Schuberth each enter the season in new leadership roles as they each serve as captains for the year.
- Temple welcomes in 20 freshmen to the roster this season, a lot of whom are looking to make a major impact on the season from the jump.
- Temple also added two members to the coaching staff this offseason: assistant coach Emily Maxwell and director of operations Rebecca Serrato.
