- Temple fell to Richmond, 57–72, on Tuesday night in Richmond.
- Jaleesa Molina recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
- Kaylah Turner added 22 points on 7–18 shooting, including four made threes. It marked her second 20-point outing of the season. Turner has now scored in double figures in every game this year..
- For the second time this season, Temple was outrebounded by an opponent (39–42). Still, the Owls rank 32nd nationally in rebounds per game (44.8), with Saniyah Craig leading the way at 10.8 boards per contest.Â
- Temple also enters the matchup ranked 13th in the country in free-throw percentage at 81.7% Â
Scouting the Wildcats
- Villanova is coming off a season in which they placed fifth in the Big East with a conference record of 11-7 and an overall record of 21-15.
- It was their fourth consecutive 20-win season. Earning them a spot in the WBIT where they registered wins against Boston College, Saint Joseph's, and the University of Portland before losing to Belmont in the semifinals.
- They are projected to finish fourth this season according to the Big East Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- The Wildcats are coming off of a road victory over James Madison, 84-73. In that game, Villanova shot above 40% in both field goals (28-57) and from three-point range (12-29). They also went 80% from the fouol line (16-20).
- Half of the team registered double-digit points in their win over JMU. Leading the Wildcats in scoring was Brynn McCurry with 18 points which set a new career-high for the junior.
- The last time these two teams saw one another was at the Big 5 Classic last season, where the Wildcats fell to the Owls by a score of 76-62.
- Jasmine Bascoe leads the team in points with 90 through five games. She has taken 87 shots this year which is nearly 50 more than Kennedy Henry has and she is second on the team in shots attempted with 38. Bascoe was a First Team All-BIG East honoree last season after leading the team in points (16.2) and rebounds (4.5) per game.

- Kaylah Turner recorded her second 20-plus point performance of the season against Richmond, finishing with 22 points on 7–18 shooting and 4–9 from three.
- Turner also had a standout 23-point game against West Virginia earlier this year, where she knocked down five threes.
- Through five games, Turner leads Temple in scoring at 16.6 points per contest.
- This year, the Kay Yow Award spans 22 conferences across all divisions — DI, DII, DIII, and JUCO.
- Each conference honoree will be recognized as a Servant Leader and will wear a special patch on their jersey during the season.

- Jaleesa Molina, Tristen Taylor, and Kaylah Turner have been named team captains for the 2025–26 season.
- Taylor and Molina are the only returning starters from the 2024–25 roster.
- Taylor averaged 6.7 points and a team-high 3.6 assists per game last season.
- Molina averaged 7.4 points and 7 rebounds per game while shooting 52.5% from the field.
- Turner appeared in 31 games (two starts), averaging 10.1 points per game — third-highest on the team — while shooting 41% from the field and 37% from three.
