Women's Fencing Ranked No. 12 in Preseason USFCA Poll

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University Women's Fencing team received good news on Monday, as the previously ranked team earned a national ranking in the preseason USFCA Collegiate Fencing Coaches' Poll.Â

The Owls come in at No. 12 in the season-opening poll, just ahead of North Carolina. University of Notre Dame earned the top spot, with Columbia, Harvard, Princeton, and Northwestern rounding out the top five.Â

Temple concludes its preseason on Saturday, November 16th, with the November North American Fencing Cup in Fort Worth, TX. The Owls will take on teams, many of which rank in the nation's top 20, including No. 5 Princeton, No. 9 Stanford, and No. 13 North Carolina.Â
