  • Kaylah Turner led the Owls with 16 points and 3 assists, while Jaleesa Molina had 10 points and 8 rebounds.

Scouting the Rams
  • The Rams are currently 3-6 on the season and are on a five-game losing streak. They are second-to-last in the A-10 but were projected to finish seventh in the preseason poll. They ended last season with an overall record of 12-19 and a conference record of 6-12.
  • VCU has returned senior guard Mary-Anna Asare, who was named to the Preseason All-Conference First Team after averaging 16 points and 4.2 rebounds per game last year.
  • Asare currently leads the Rams in points with 86 and has been averaging 17.2 points per game. However, she has missed the last three contests for VCU. Katarina Knezevic has stepped up in her absence by averaging 12 points per game and currently has 84 through seven games.
  • Knezevic is second on the team in shooting from behind the arc, going 13-33 (.394). She is second on the team in rebounds with 32 and leads the team in turnovers with 27.
  • Last season, the Rams hosted the Owls and lost 55-59. These two teams first met in 2013, with VCU edging out the Owls by a score of 53-51.

  • Kaylah Turner has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. She ranks in the top five in the American Conference in three-point percentage (40.3%, 3rd), three-pointers made (25, 4th), and three-pointers per game (2.78, 3rd).
  • In each of the Owls' losses this season, at least two players have scored in double figures.
  • Despite being injured, Tristen Taylor still ranks in the top 25 in free-throw percentage.
