Scouting the Eagles
  • Coppin State enters the matchup having won just one of its last 10 games (a victory over Sacred Heart on Dec. 6). The Eagles are also 0–7 on the road this season.
  • Coppin State is projected to finish sixth in the MEAC this year. Last season, the Eagles posted a 19–15 overall record and went 8–6 in conference play.
  • This matchup marks the first meeting between Coppin State and Temple in program history.
  • Khila Morris leads the Eagles in scoring with 144 points through 12 games, averaging 12.0 points per game. She also leads the team in field goals made (51) and field goals attempted (128). Her 37.1% shooting from three-point range (13-of-35) is also a team high.
  • The Eagles are coming off a 72–65 loss to William & Mary. Despite the loss, Coppin State had three players score in double figures: Morris, Erin Henry, and Patricia Sosa Lora.
  • In that game, Coppin State shot 10-of-23 (43.5%) from beyond the arc but was limited to 26 points in the paint, while William & Mary scored 42 inside.

Owls & Kaylah Turner
  • Kaylah Turner has recorded five games with 20+ points this season, the most she has had in her collegiate career.
  • Turner's five 20-point performances in a 10-game span are the most by an Owl since Mia Davis during the 2021–22 season.

  • Turner also set a career high with four steals in the 88–68 win over VCU.
