Owls Climb Three Spots, Ranked No. 8 in USFCA Midseason Poll

2.12.25 | Women's Fencing

PHILADELPHIA – The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) released its 2024-25 midseason poll Wednesday, with Temple climbing to No. 8, a three-spot jump from its preseason No. 11 ranking.

This marks Temple's highest ranking since the 2021-22 preseason poll, when the Owls also reached No. 8. That season, Temple finished with a 24-14 overall record and sent foilist Anna Novoseltseva and epeeist Naomi Ross to the NCAA Championships.

So far this season, Temple holds an 8-9 record against teams ranked in the midseason Top 15. The Owls will have four more chances to face ranked competition at the Temple Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 23, where they will take on No. 15 Penn State, No. 4 Princeton, No. 10 Penn, and No. 13 St. Johns.
