Temple Concludes Final Pre-Season Meet at The Ott Center

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's track and field team wrapped up their pre-season at the Widener Indoor Classic, held at The Ott Center this past weekend. The two-day event saw the Owls competing against more than 15 schools from various divisions. Building on their strong performance from last weekend, Temple earned over 10 top-10 finishes.
Results
> In the 5000 meters, Emma-Kate Watt opened the meet with a sixth-place finish, clocking in at 18:50.54, with Amelia Sabatino following closely behind in seventh at 18:57.86.
>Nya Browne claimed first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.58, while Chloe Smith secured second with a time of 9.01.
>Mariah Jameson led the Owls in the 400 meters, finishing third with a time of 56.44. Jade Pope ran a season-best 56.64 to place fifth, and Grace Hickman recorded a personal best of 58.93 to finish seventh. Jayla Green and Maliah Powell rounded out the field, finishing 15th with a time of 1:00.10 and 25th at 1:01.38, respectively.
>Graduate student Olabisi Adams made her season debut in the long jump, recording a mark of 5.36 meters. Reagan Schwartz jumped 5.23 meters, and Deja Scott reached 5.17 meters. Schwartz also matched her personal best in the triple jump with a leap of 11.60 meters, earning a fourth-place finish.
>In the pole vault, Aliza White Vega and Reece Sullivan matched their personal bests, clearing 3.80 meters and 3.50 meters, earning third and seventh place finishes. Amira Green claimed the top spot in the high jump, clearing 1.70 meters.
>Maya Gomes ran a personal best of 2:19.04 in her first 800 meters of the season, placing 11th.
>In the 200 meters, Nya Browne took eighth with a time of 25.42, while Chloe Smith finished 12th with a time of 25.867.

The Owls will begin their postseason at the AAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, from February 28 to March 1. Both days of competition will be streamed live on ESPN+.
