Women’s Track and Field Competes at the AAC Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Temple University's women's track and field team commenced their postseason at the 2025 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama. The event, hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham at the Birmingham CrossPlex, featured 13 AAC members.

>In Friday's running events, freshman Mariah Jameson secured the highest finish in the 400 meters, placing 21st with a time of 56.52. Grace Hickman set a personal best of 58.85, finishing 32nd. 
>Nya Browne finished 12th in the 60 meter hurdles running 8.54 and Chloe Smith finished 24th in a time of 9.05. In the 60 meter dash Allyson Metzger ran 8.01. 
>Maya Gomes ran a season's best in the 800 in a time of 2:16.65 and Laila Cottom ran 2:23.70. 
>Browne recorded the highest finish for the Owls in the 200 meters, clocking 25.01. Smith set a personal best with a time of 25.69.
>Aliza White Vega secured sixth place in the pole vault, clearing 3.77 meters and earning two points. Reece Sullivan achieved a new personal best by clearing 3.62 meters.
> Amira Green finished fourth in the high jump, recording a season's best 1.75 meters. 
> Reagan Schwartz placed 20th in the triple jump, jumping 11.43 meters.

The Owls will open their outdoor season at the Penn Challenge March 22nd.
