Temple Women’s Track and Field Begins its Outdoor Season at the Penn Challenge

PHILADELPHIA- Temple women's track and field will open its outdoor season at the Penn Challenge hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field.

Last Time Out
> The Owls are coming off of a solid indoor season wrapping up the AAC Championship at Birmingham where athletes set three personal best and two seasons best.
> Amira Green placed fourth in the high jump, recording a season-best 1.75 meters and earning five points for the Owls.
> Aliza White Vega finished sixth in the pole vault, clearing 3.77 meters and securing two points.
> Reece Sullivan set a new personal best in the pole vault, clearing 3.62 meters.
Previewing the Owls
> Temple will feature 19 athletes competing across 10 events..
> In the sprints, Siani Brown-Carr will be the Owls' sole competitor in the 100 meters, while Shalisha Robertson will race in the 200 meters
> In the short hurdles, Nya Browne, Shalisha Robertson and Dicia Watkins will open their outdoor season in the 100 meter hurdles.
> In the 400 meters, Grace Hickman, Terren Bolton, Maliah Powell, Jayla Green, Maya Gomes and Laila Cottom will represent Temple.
> In the distance events, Emma-Kate Watt will race in the 1500 meters, while Amelia Sabatino competes in the 3,000 meters.
>Temple will have five jumpers, Shalisha Robertson, Deja Scott, and Olabisi Adams will compete in the long jump. Reagan Schwartz will take on the triple jump, and Amira Green will compete in the high jump.
> Aliza White Vega and Reece Sullivan will represent the Owls in the pole vault.
> The Owls will round out the meet with a 1,600 meter relay.

> Temple will compete against Columbia, Cornell, LaSalle, Lehigh, Navy, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Rutgers, St. Joseph's and Villanova.
